For the past two weeks Ali has told me the same story several times every day:
“Hannah, choo choo
Ali, choo choo
Mama
Hannah choo choo
Ali done.”
This started when we went to the pumpkin patch with Hannah and Michelle. The girls wanted to ride the little toy train on the oval track (a.k.a. choo choo). I decided to ride along because I figured Ali might get a little nervous.
The engineer pushed the start button and everything was going great.
We got about half way around the track the first time and Ali decided she was done with this train.
The train however was not done with her, even as she tried to crawl over the side since Hannah was blocking the door.
We cheered her on as the train went round and round and round. She was brave and did not cry, just kept saying “all done”. This is the girls at the end of the ride – Hannah asking for “more” and Ali most definitely “done”.
I just think it is funny how the stress and excitement of the situation deeply implanted it in her little head. I guess we all like to tell of our death defying adventures. This is her first war-story and she is not done telling it yet.
