My ability to write creatively seems to have slipped away with my return to work. I am hoping that it will return soon, but for now please just appreciate the fact that this posting is happening at all! Ali was reading her farm book the other day and we were just so impressed that we had to take these pictures. Other recent accomplishments include: riding in the Baby Bjorn facing forward (i.e. less head support), and starting to maneuver her toys to her mouth for inspection.
On Ali’s two month birthday, she got to meet her Great Grandma Fowler. It was a very special time, I will let the pictures speak for themselves:
Ali made an exciting discovery about a week ago. It turns out that those things that have been flapping around are attached to her – and, with a great deal of concentration she can control them! For several days she spent a great deal of time gazing at her hands. Now she seems to have gotten used to them and is moving on to bigger and better things, but for a while this was what she looked like almost every waking moment! Another important point – she found her left hand first and then her right hand, so I have high hopes that she may turn out to be a lefty!
